It’s so much fun to add themed tracks into fitness classes or even create an entire class around a theme. I added a Barbie-inspired track to my Yoga Sculpt today because I’m very excited for the new movie and the soundtrack!

You can be creative with themes and even get requests so participants can feel like they helped shape the class! I’ve done themes in yoga classes, barre classes, and cardio classes. Some of the themes include:
- spring yoga flow (poses like tree, flower, and waterfall)
- full-moon inspired yoga (with Moon Salutations rather than Sun Salutations – very soothing for an evening class!)
- 90s themed barre (always including a little Boyz II Men!)
- Hallowe’en and Valentine’s themed classes
For this Barbie track, we focus on core work and glutes:
- Set up earthquake, arms extended, palms facing in
- Alternating bow and arrow (6) – option to open arms to side
- Come down to mat, feet hip width, extend R leg
- Lift and lower R leg/hips (8)
- Repeat bow and arrow (4)
- Repeat lift/lower with L leg (8)
- Pulse hip lifts L (8) and R (8)
- extend legs to ceiling, lower one leg at a time
- drop one long leg, one bent knee to end!
Do you ever plan theme classes?
