Last night I slept so well that my FitBit was surprised/happy/proud! 😅

Seriously though sleep is my biggest challenge! Usually my sleep is 6 hours or less….

I would love to hear your tips for sleep! Breathing, tea, essential oils….I will try anything!!

It sounds crazy. I know. But trust me that you will LOVE getting a full sweet potato and all it’s beauty benefits in a cup of cocoa.

This is a recipe inspired by Jessica Seinfeld’s Deceptively Delicious cookbook series, which I use to sneak veggies into food that my kids like to eat.

Tips:
• use a high speed blender like a nutribullet or vitamix
• warm the milk slightly before adding it to the blender

Swiss Miss it is not, but it is a yummy and healthy, low sugar alternative!

Dear @brockuniversity students...I'm so excited to be offering an in-person book club this fall on campus! We will be reading Delia Owens' "Where the Crawdads Sing" and meeting in October to chat about the book.

This novel is described by the New York Times Book Review as “A painfully beautiful first novel that is at once a murder mystery, a coming-of-age narrative and a celebration of nature....” 

You can choose to participate in a research study on the effect of recreational reading and community on perceived stress levels. This study has received approval from the Research Ethics Board of Brock University (REB File 21-058)

Many of you know my parents emigrated from Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 a few years before I was born. It means 2 things:

1. Our little family is super close

2. It is so hard being away from all of our other relatives!

We were so grateful that my Dad’s cousins @julieaspencer and @gailajones11 along with their husbands stopped in Niagara at the end of their Canadian holidays. 💗

It was lovely to see you all and have you meet the kids…who adored you all. Alan entertained the kids with magic tricks and even got Celia off her phone! Annabel was fascinated with Gail & Julie’s sparkly nails 💅

Can’t wait to see you all again, perhaps in Wales!

Do you love finding new ways to stretch? Me too! Here are a few of my favourite delicious and relatively unknown ways to stretch.

1. Stretch the side body - imagine you have a wall behind you so you really feel that lateral movement!
2. Stretch the inside of your arm, from the shoulders to fingertips (*great for computer work)
3. Lunge to hip stretch - feels SO good all around the hip and into the obliques
4. Figure 4 stretch to deeper glute stretch 🍑
